This Privacy Policy explains how Video Status Maker (“app”, “we”, “our”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our Android application. By installing or using the app, you agree to this Privacy Policy.



 1. Information we collect

The app itself does not require you to create an account or directly submit personal details like name or email. However, the app and integrated third‑party SDKs may collect the following types of information to provide core features and show ads:[1][2]

- Device information (such as device model, OS version, language, IP address, mobile identifiers like Advertising ID).  
- Usage data (such as screens viewed, buttons tapped, session duration, crash logs).  
- Approximate location (derived from IP address) for ad serving, where allowed by your device and platform settings.  

If you create or edit video status content using images or audio from your device, the app accesses only the media files you select for the purpose of creating or saving your video status.


 2. Permissions used

  Used to connect to the internet in order to:  
  - Load and display ads from Google Ads, Meta Audience Network, Pangle, and LiftOff.  
  - Check for updates, sync content, and improve app stability.

- android.permission.READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE  
  Used on older Android versions to:  
  - Read photos, images, and audio files you choose for creating or editing video status content.  
  - Export and save created video status files to your device storage.

- android.permission.READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / android.permission.READ_MEDIA_AUDIO  
  Used on newer Android versions to:  
  - Access only the images and audio you select from your gallery or file picker to create or edit video status content.  

The app does not access any files or media other than those you intentionally select for use within the app’s features.


 3. Use of Google, Meta, Pangle, and LiftOff ads

This app displays advertising to keep the app free. For this purpose, we integrate the following advertising SDKs, which may collect and process data such as device identifiers, coarse location, and usage data to serve and measure ads in accordance with their own policies:[4][5][3]

- Google Ads / AdMob (Google LLC)  
  - Used to display banner, interstitial, and/or rewarded ads.  
  - May use your Advertising ID and other device information to show personalized or non‑personalized ads, depending on your consent and device settings.

- Meta Audience Network (Meta Platforms, Inc.)  
  - Used to show ads from Meta’s advertising partners.  
  - May use device identifiers, usage data, and information from Meta products where applicable.

- Pangle (ByteDance)  
  - Used to display video and other ad formats.  
  - May collect device information and usage data for ad delivery and measurement.

  - Used for mobile advertising, user acquisition, and re‑engagement campaigns.  
  - May collect device identifiers, app usage, and approximate location for ad targeting and performance measurement.

These providers may use the information they collect to deliver interest‑based (personalized) or contextual ads, subject to applicable laws and your platform‑level ad personalization settings.[5][4]


 4. How we use information

Information collected through the app and third‑party SDKs is used for the following purposes:[3][1]

- To enable core features (creating, editing, and saving video status content).  
- To display, optimize, and measure advertising in the app.  
- To monitor app performance, fix bugs, and improve stability and user experience.  
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

These third parties process data according to their own privacy policies and applicable law.

- Device‑level ad settings  
  - On Android, you can reset your Advertising ID and/or limit ad personalization in your device’s Google settings.  
  - When you opt out of interest‑based ads at system level, advertising partners should serve only non‑personalized ads.

- App permissions  
  - You can revoke storage/media permissions in your device settings at any time. However, some features (like importing media for video status creation) may not work without these permissions.

- Cookies and similar technologies  
  - Some ad partners may use cookies or similar technologies in embedded web components (WebView). You can adjust browser or WebView settings where applicable.

If you are in a region that requires consent for personalized ads, the app may show a consent prompt where you can allow or deny such processing before ads are shown.
